CMA CGM Kailas

* We have received reports that fully cellular container ship, CMA CGM KAILAS, became disabled in a position approximately 395 nautical miles southwest of Male, Maldives on 20 December 2021.

* The vessel was later taken under tow by tug towards Colombo, Sri Lanka with an ETA at Colombo on 11 January 2022.

* We understand that part of the cargo on board may include a quantity of chilled tuna fish.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* It is also likely that the delay in the completion of the voyage will have given rise to potentially serious losses to temperature controlled cargo.
